Semo Network is a catalyst. It is not the app you scan products with, not the phone in your pocket, not the storefront where you buy your next regenerative purchase. Each of those lives on its own site, with its own team, its own pace.

What lives here is the commons — the constitution, the steward-ownership model, the project portfolio and the connective tissue that lets a growing constellation of projects move together as one regenerative economy.

Three pillars

Infrastructure, culture, governance.

Open infrastructure

Currency, payments, identity, scoring — tools that anyone can plug into.

Regenerative culture

A community of pioneering regenerators sharing knowledge, code, residencies and events.

Stewarded governance

One verified human, one vote — with stewards who promise to make their own role irrelevant.

Founding

How Semo started — and why it can't be owned.

Semo was founded as a response to a simple observation: every day we make decisions, and most of those decisions don't reflect what we actually care about. The system makes the destructive choice the easy one.

From the beginning, the choice was to build this as a commons, not a company. The constitution exists so that no one — not founders, not future investors — can quietly redirect the network toward extraction.

That commitment is what stewardship means here. The work happens in the open. The accounting is public. The vote is one per verified human. The path is toward Semo standing on its own, with no one in particular at the helm.

Governance

How decisions get made.

Every verified human has the right to one account. From that account they can propose, discuss and vote on anything that affects Semo — including the Constitution itself.

Stewards (the people with curation access today) make commitments that anyone can hold them to, and any steward can be outvoted from curation access by the community.
