What it is.
For people forced to rebuild their lives in new places, the barriers to economic participation are enormous — and the existing systems are often designed to keep them dependent rather than self-reliant.
Semo for Refugees establishes full Semo-based democratic economies in areas where people are seeking new opportunities and self-reliance. Not charity. Not aid with conditions. A complete economic infrastructure — currency, governance, scoring, commerce — that a community can operate for itself.
Participants earn Semo Coin through work and contribution, vote on how the local economy is governed, access products and services through the Semo Store, and build a verified economic identity that travels with them.
The stewardship model places no external authority over the local economy. The Constitution is the only governance layer — and the community votes to amend it.

The Constitution commits stewards to focus initial adoption on underprivileged communities. This project is that commitment in practice.
Where this is going.
Semo for Refugees is in research phase. The governance framework and economic model are being developed in consultation with community organisations and stewards. Pilot site proposals are welcome via Discord.
