Semo Villages
Where the regenerative economy takes root in the real world.
What it is.
Concepts become culture when they are lived, not just theorised. Semo Villages are the physical sites where that happens.
A Semo Village is a community space — a gathering place, a learning environment, a prototype economy — where Semo's tools are deployed at human scale. Residents, visitors and stewards use Semo Coin, participate in governance, contribute data and experience what a regenerative economy looks and feels like as a daily reality.
Villages are not communes or utopian experiments. They are demonstration sites — places that can show, not just tell, what is possible when an economy is designed around human and ecological flourishing rather than extraction.
From pilot sites, Semo gathers evidence, identifies what scales and builds the playbook for the next village — and eventually, the next city.
What Semo Villages does.
Community hub
A physical gathering point where regenerators, learners, stewards and curious visitors meet and work together.
Live economy
Semo Coin, Semo Payments and the Semo App all operate at the village level — a real economy, not a demo.
Governance in practice
Village residents participate in Semo governance directly — proposing, discussing and voting on what the village does and how.
Demonstration model
Each village builds the evidence base and the playbook for replication. What works here is documented and exported.
Where this is going.
Semo Villages is in research phase. The first Semo Village is currently being prepared in the Philippines, and we are already actively gathering inhabitants. Site selection criteria and governance frameworks are being developed, and the first pilot village will be proposed to the community for a vote once the framework is ready.
