Semo Vote
One verified human. One vote. For any decision that affects Semo.
What it is.
Every system of governance fails when the people it affects have no say in how it works. Semo Vote is built on a single, unambiguous principle: every verified human gets one account, and that account carries one vote.
From the smallest operational decision to an amendment of the Constitution itself, Semo Vote is the mechanism by which the community shapes the network. Stewards propose. The community debates. Everyone votes. No one — not founders, not investors, not stewards — gets more than one vote.
In the short term, Semo Vote is being developed for investment governance: certificate holders vote on the direction of capital. In the long term, it is the infrastructure for full democratic governance of everything Semo touches.
The goal is not to build a better committee. The goal is to make the committee irrelevant — and give the authority back to the humans the system was built for.
What Semo Vote does.
One account per human
Verification ensures each real person has exactly one account and one vote. Capital, social capital and seniority confer nothing extra.
Propose & discuss
Any account holder can table a proposal. Discussion happens before the vote — openly, on the record.
Constitutional amendments
Even the Constitution can be changed — but only through a vote of the full community, following the process it describes.
Steward accountability
Anyone with curation access to Semo can be outvoted out of that role by the community. No position is permanent.
Where this is going.
Semo Vote is in pilot phase. A prototype app exists on TestFlight, currently being refined for the first investment governance vote with certificate holders. The full public voting infrastructure follows.
